The Vision, which takes place every year in Stuttgart, is one of those events constantly growing over the years – due to the fact that the machine vision sector, which is the focus of the trade fair, is still growing at a rapid rate. In Germany, the turnover level of 1 billion € should soon be broken though. And the data from the last year underline the success of the fair: 4,673 visitors from 38 countries, a foreign participation of 25% (tendency increasing), 55% new visitors, a remarkable increase in executive personnel, 88% with investment intentions and 33 % top decision makers. And the 182 exhibitors from 20 countries also stated ‘all objectives were fully achieved’ – 92 % of all exhibitors faced prospects for good business after Vision 2004.

This years’ Vision is the 18th International Trade Fair for machine vision and identification technologies, and will have its focus on 3D coordinate measurement techniques. In a time of zero-defect strategies and short development times, new 3-D measurement techniques are growing more and more important. For this reason, Vision 2005 will be presenting in Hall 1, together with wellknown manufacturers, the entire spectrum of what this technology already offers us today. Besides, the high-quality lecture program of the Industrial Vision Days will inform the entire sector of the newest developments and trends. And not to forget the Vision Award, where the best innovative product will be rewarded with handsome prize money as well as great media interest.
