Point Grey Celebrates 100 Employees

24.06.2010 -

Point Grey is pleased to announce the hiring of its 100th employee, marking an important milestone in the company's growth. Fatma Kocamaz joins Point Grey's wholly-owned subsidiary, Point Grey Research GmbH, as an Inside Sales Specialist working out of the company's office in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

"Reaching 100 full-time employees is a significant achievement for Point Grey," says Vladimir Tucakov, Director of Sales and Marketing and one of the original founders. "It has been amazing to watch our company grow over the years-without any outside investment-from a tiny office in 1997 to an international organization with offices, distributors, and customers located around the world. The addition of Fatma to our sales team is a direct reflection of the ever-increasing demand we are seeing for Point Grey products. And we are continuing to expand, adding new positions in Technical Support, Production, and Engineering."

Based in Richmond, BC, Canada, Point Grey designs, manufactures and distributes more than 150 different digital camera models for machine vision, industrial imaging, and computer vision applications. Since its founding in 1997, the company has experienced year-over-year growth in sales and staff, even during the global recession. Point Grey's founders attribute the company's success to its employees, a talented team of people dedicated to building high-quality digital cameras that are known for their high performance and ease of use. The combined efforts of this team have also produced a number of innovative and ground-breaking products, such as the world's first and smallest 1394b digital camera, the Flea2, and the world's first USB 3.0 camera.
